Tucked inside a challenging 55m² footprint full of awkward beams, low ceilings, and structural columns, this urban Mediterranean studio was a puzzle worth solving. We kept the original floors to reduce the works required and focused on a spatial layout that comfortably sleeps four without feeling cramped.

The heart of the living area is a custom-built TV unit, finished in the same limewash as the walls and ceiling. It doubles as a planter and a bench, eliminating the need for bulky armchairs and adding softness and greenery to the space.

In the bathroom, a brass rain shower meets blush and cream zellige tiles for a warm, romantic feel. The kitchen carries the zellige story forward in deep forest green, with handmade tiles running all the way to the ceiling.

In the bedroom, we turned a tricky layout into an asset by creating a recessed arched shelving detail as a headboard instead of bedside tables and painting the built-in wardrobe to match the textured walls. A beautiful arch with sliding slatted wood doors subtly separates the sleeping zone from the living area, while allowing natural light into the space.
